Chamber Survey Results Released
NISSWA, Minn. – MicroNet, Inc., the market leader of chamber management software and services, announced the release of their chamber of commerce survey results, showcasing industry trends and projections for 2015. The survey results represent feedback from hundreds of chamber executives from across the US, covering the topics of chamber operations and collaboration, member management and plans for the upcoming year.
A key finding of the survey points to the need for increased member engagement. Executives agree that when member engagement increases, volunteerism and membership grows, resulting in increased dues revenue to be used to fully fund chamber operations. Another finding from the survey shows that only 20% of chambers are using an ultra-efficient tool to manage their member data.
“Survey results point toward opportunity for increased efficiencies among chambers of commerce throughout the US. With our impeccable training and customer support, I am confident that adding ChamberMaster to any organization would be highly beneficial to the success of their business,” said Marcy Weaver, Micronet Executive Vice President. “Our products and services have helped chambers and associations operate more efficiently for over 15 years.”
Another survey finding shows that chambers are often missing out on the opportunity to earn revenue through ad sales on their chamber business website. Only 1/3 of chambers reported earning extra revenue through website ads sold to local businesses. “We were able to increase non-dues revenue for our chamber in 2014 through our ad sales efforts. It was definitely worth implementing for our chamber and we will continue to sell ads in 2015 and beyond,” said Carmen Schramm, Director of Chamber Services at Yankton Area Chamber of Commerce in Yankton, SD.
